I think this quote encapsulates Thomas completely: “The liberals made my life miserable for 43 years, and I’m going to make their lives miserable for 43 years.”

His unaddressed childhood trauma has manifested into his vindictiveness and perpetuating trauma onto others.

Irony would be that the actuarial tables would keep him from his 43 year goal.

His current wife doesn't see it, but with his marriage to her he's still "getting back" at the liberals. (You'd have to be Black for the nuance of that from his perspective).

Unfortunately for any and everyone he's come into contact because they're harsh, very real personas of the ghosts from his past that won't stay buried.

Don't get it twisted: He's still a sellout to the Constitution he swore to defend and can be bought cheaply. His past "wannabe" ambitions to join the Panthers wasn't bacause he was told "sorry, all full".

It was because he was a whiney, scared POS who was spineless as a college student during a protest that was heated. He's book smart and as dumb as they come about life.

Explains how he became TacoTrump's favorite pet rock darky.🙄🫠

Great article!

I didn't know he had totally sanitized his family story. i guess if you're a fundamentalist you have to either pose as a success since birth, or a hopeless wreck who owes it all to Jesus.

Mr. Thomas could have sought therapy any time over the past 40 years and saved us the trouble. Instead he's an entitled, angry cliche.

This is a very excellent backstory of a dichotomous conundrum of a man.

I am having difficulty imagining hating all the education opportunities that might have come my way as seems to be the case with Clarence Thomas, a deeply, deeply insecure man. Instead of being a loving, helpful type of Christian, which Thomas purports to be, he is a miserable, hate filled misery for those seeking justice.

When we are mistreated by society, denigrated and made to feel less—there is definite anger and a sense of betrayal—earned at the beginning. Anger is a reaction that all is not right. But then we need to figure out what that ‘not right’ is. The road walked afterwards is healing. What I have realized is that when we hold on to those feelings and hone them into the sharp point of resentment, it is ourselves we have not forgiven. Thomas still feels shame, self-anger and unworthy. He is using his Imposter as an Inquisition character to defuse anger that will only be healed internally.

Hillary Clinton said that Clarence was all about grievance. She was right. So was Anita Hill.

What a completely despicable degenerate who doesn't deserve to sit on the highest bench. So he has been given so many "Gifts" and it doesn't matter how much or how many. His hatred and anger will never be sated. He was right about himself. He is ugly.
