Florida “Christian” School Asks Gay And Trans Students to Leave
Grace Christian School isn’t acting Christ-like (Updated Story)
“We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, transgender identity/lifestyle, self-identification, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful in the sight of God and the church (Genesis 2:24; Leviticus 18:1–30; Romans 1:26–29; I Corinthians 5:1; I Corinthians 6:9; I Thessalonians 4:2–7). Students who are found participating in these lifestyles will be asked to leave the school immediately,”
Grace Christian School is a private school, K-12, about twenty miles east of Tampa, FL. They are accredited by the Florida Association for Christian Colleges and Schools. It recently sent an email to all parents saying that gay and trans students were no longer welcome.
The school doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Florida is where Governor Ron DeSantis supports the “Don’t Say, Gay” bills preventing teachers and administrators from discussing issues surrounding homosexuality. DeSantis supports a bill requiring the administration to notify parents if their children discuss their sexuality and seek guidance, effectively outing them and exposing them to possible danger.
DeSantis vetoed mental health funds for survivors of the Pulse nightclub mass shooting. He continued the previous governor’s tradition of issuing a proclamation on the anniversary shooting without recognizing that the victims were targeted for being gay. It is the same as not recognizing that Jewish people died at Auschwitz. The same day DeSantis vetoed funds for Pulse survivors, he vetoed $750,000 for housing of gay and transgendered youth.
“What message is the governor trying to send to LGBTQ Floridians with these actions?” — Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith.
On the first day of Pride Month, DeSantis signed a bill blocking transgendered girls from participating in school sports.
“By signing a heartless ban on transgender kids in sports, @GovRonDeSantis is marginalizing an entire community. Signing it on the first day of #Pride2021 is especially cruel. Florida should stand for inclusivity, equality, and liberty — not peddling hate for political points.” — Nikki Fried
If the top official in the state is with you, it encourages you to to the things you were already inclined to do. Grace Christian School had gay students previously, but none of them were feeling the love. One mother removed her lesbian daughter from the school after receiving the email.
“She was scared she was gonna open her mouth and expose herself, right but she’s not scared anymore.”
A different family transferred their daughter after receiving the email. the mother said:
“It’s not like my daughter goes around wearing rainbow flags or anything like that. But I’m not going to have her feel ashamed of herself for any reason.”
The teen said:
“At the new school, I feel normal.”
Grace Christian School is a private school that receives public funding, which the Supreme Court says they’re entitled to. They received a $228,500 PPE loan (gift) to help them survive COVID-19. All taxpayers in Florida and the United States have financially helped Grace Christian School discriminate against gay and transgendered youth. The school’s policy isn’t even new for them, but it took until now for them to become emboldened enough to throw our gay and transgendered youth.
This is a breaking story, and at the time of this writing, Grace Christian School has yet to respond to requests for comment. The Florida Association for Christian Colleges and Schools has said nothing. Governor DeSantis has yet to comment, but he must be proud deep inside. He’s molding Florida into his image, warped as it is. To be continued.
UPDATE:
This story was originally written two years ago. Last month, a teacher at Grace Christian School was arrested for impregnating a 16-year-old student he’d been engaging in a years-long relationship with off-campus.
“This man preyed upon a vulnerable teenager, violating the trust of our community. Such betrayal is especially devastating when it comes from someone expected to serve as a mentor. I hope that this victim can heal from the trauma caused by this man and take advantage of the resources available to her.” — Sheriff Chad Chronister
Grace Christian Academy was so concerned about gay and transgender students that they enabled the heterosexual predator(s) in their midst.

When "Christians" only cite the Old Testament to support their decidedly UN-Christ-like beliefs, are they even legitimately Christian?
This behavior is repugnant and morally reprehensible. It is arguably unconstitutional, and if it's not, it should be. Liberty and Justice for ALL should actually mean ALL. Anyone arguing against that is welcome to get off my planet by sundown.
