It Was Never My Constitution

Elie Mystal, a Constitutional scholar, triggered a bunch of people during an appearance on “The View” when he called the Constitution “trash.” Every politician is compelled to pay homage to the Constitution and our Founding Fathers as if they weren’t the flawed, mostly owners of enslaved people they were. I wrote about this some time ago, and it’s worth repeating now.

Several of my blog pieces are inspired by “Morning Joe.” Given enough time, someone on the panel, most often Joe Scarborough will say something so ridiculous I have to respond. In 2014, he talked about the number of increased Republican seats in the House of Representatives since President Obama first took office. He presented it as if it were because of Republican ideas and policies as if that were the reason. Not once did he mention Gerrymandering and redistricting, often in Unconstitutional ways according to the courts.
