thank you from a mom...that won't be with her bio progeny today but have already connected in such meaningful and unimaginable ways... Grateful for those who show up and nurture and who I have nurtured over time. Some one a whole lot have prayed for me.

Brings to mind an old country song: Rocking alone in an old rocking chair; I spied an old Mother with silver in her hair. She seemed so neglected by those who should care; rocking alone in her old rocking chair..... Hank Snow sang it to tears in your eyes. Tells a story. It was one of my Mothers favorites. DD

The older I get, and the more I see, I realize that very little in life resembles what you see in film/television, and that Greeting Cards Sentiments, while varied, are just worth the card paper they are printed on. But then, the fact is. I have a Tri-Fecta of Familial Strife, sexual abuse, physical abuse and emotional/psychological abuse. Nothing in my life was Hallmark Movie-esque. Eternally glad I didn't bring more children into our world.
